Environmental policy At Paperflow, we are committed to providing a range of environmentally conscious products and services. Firstly, because we believe in it, and secondly, because it helps our customers implement their own environmental policies.
We only source our papers from mills which meet the highest environmental standards. For instance, the Kematan Mill lies in the heart of the Austrian Tyrol. Since 1989, they have invested more than £50M in environmental measures, including chlorine-free bleaching and the treatment of waste water. Their efforts have earned them accreditation under ONORM EN ISO 14001 and BS 7750, which were awarded in 1995. We are suppliers of IQ TRIOTEC® a paper launched is in accordance with the principles of the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council). The central layer of a high quality paper can be formed by recycled or CTMP fibres and contribute to resource conservation. CTMP is the chemo-thermo mechanical process for pulp formation, which has a 90% higher yield than previous pulping processes. The Forest Stewardship Council is a WWF supported, non-profit-making organisation dedicated to promoting sustainable forestry in the light of widespread exploitation of the forests. The wood from certified forests can be traced through to the end product. The increasing need for wood will mean that the FSC’s prominence will grow and with a successful ISO 14001 and EMAS re-certification. |
